Trump: ICE immigration ‘has to be reformed’

President Donald Trump said Tuesday that the immigration system is “broken” and needs to be overhauled.

Trump, who has made the topic of border security a central part of his presidency, told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly that the issue of illegal immigration has to be addressed and the country needs to move on.

“We’ve got to have an open border,” Trump said.

“We’ve been open for a long time.

But we’re not open anymore.”

Trump has said the country will be “open” for legal immigrants, but he has also made clear that the country is open to people from countries with a history of immigration and terror.

In addition to his remarks on border security, Trump said in an interview with Fox News Channel’s “The O’Donnell Factor” that he wants the federal government to pay for the border wall.

“I want it to be a wall.

We’re not going to pay,” Trump told O’Neill.

“But I want it, in some form, to be paid for.

We have to have it paid for.”

O’Neill pointed out that the government has already spent billions of dollars on the border fence in recent years, but Trump said he’s open to “some sort of negotiation.”

“I would be open to some sort of negotiating,” Trump responded.

“If I think it’s worth it, then I’m going to do it.”
